The Snap-version 1.0.16 on KUbuntu 24.04 seems to be unable to access sub-folders of the home directory. Indeed, the open/save dialogue shows four locations, namely Home, Desktop, Documents and Downloads. Sub-folders are listed and accessible in all but the home folder.

I checked the Snap connections with snap connections scantailor-advanced and they look fine to me. Here an excerpt of the relevant interfaces:

Interface Plug Slot Notes
desktop scantailor-advanced:desktop :desktop -
desktop-legacy scantailor-advanced:desktop-legacy :desktop-legacy -
home scantailor-advanced:home :home -

Anybody having any advice on how to make it function properly? As a work-around I temporarily move the .scantailor project file into an accessible location but a true solution would be more elegant, of course.

I just noticed that the dialogue for re-linking files or folders that appears when opening a project after some locations have changed does show all sub-folders of Home. So it seems that specifically that dialogues for projects behave in a strange way. BTW: the behavior is unaffected by the file type filter.
Can anybody confirm the behavior in a non-Snap installation?
