We got an error message while scanning for button.
The reason is : "No button within proximity was advertising in public mode."
But the Flic device is connected and shows up in bluetooth devices and in Flic app.

Mac IOS : Catalina version 10.15.7

You have the explanation in your description ;)
If the button is already connected to the Flic app, it won't advertise again when you press it.
So just disconnect from the Flic app.

Actually, this app is no longer supported. We have an official Flic app for Mac that you can find here: https://flic.io/mac-app. We are currently working on an update for that app as well that should be release soon.

My point being that hax-with-flic-osx is no longer functional and should therefore not be used.
