In AM2R version 1.5.5, the toggle for the custom palette shader is named "Fusion Suit Style". When the M:SR palette toggle was changed to control all custom shader functionality, it wasn't renamed to match its new function. This causes much confusion for players who want to use custom palettes.
Changing the lines pertaining to this setting should provide better clarity as to what this setting does in AM2R 1.5.5.
