About pelec.diffuse_enth #904
-
Hi, I have a seemingly trivial question; there is this flag in the input file pelec.diffuse_enth in several testcases in Regtests folder viz. EB-C11. FlowPastCylinder, BluffBody etc. What does it deal with in the governing equations? diffusion of enthalpy? I'm posting it here as I couldn't find that term; neither any information in the PeleC 0.1 documentation site nor in the PelePhysics documentation site. Also I checked PeleC main article Requesting for clarification on this. |

This refers to computing the parabolic and parabolic-like terms in the enthalpy conservation equation (which look like Div(lambda.Grad(T)) and Div(hi.Fi) where Fi is the diffusive flux of species i. Generally that is a debugging flag...a useful code feature to help shut off things when looking around for the cause of unexpected behavior |
