The following acronyms from the MPEG-2 TS spec should be spelled out the first time they are used and also link to the MPEG-2 TS spec to make it clear where they come from (event if it's obvious for most of us):

  • STD : system target decoder
  • T-STD: transport system target decoder
  • PID: packet identifier
  • PMT: Program Map Table
  • PES: Packetized Elementary Stream
  • PTS: Presentation Time Stamp
  • DTS: Decoding Time Stamp

These other acronyms are not defined either:

  • SDR
  • EOTF

and these other acronyms are not defined the first time they are used:

  • HDR
  • WCG

Respec is able to detect and treat all acronyms once it has been defined, see https://respec.org/docs/#abbreviations
