In order to keep the host creation lightweight, it would be better to pre-calculate the resource quota utilization.

Therefore, the following steps are necessary:

Add a task that calculates the utilization of all resource quotas
Run that task in a specific interval (once a day)
Track changes to resource quotas when a host is changed
- addressed by Implement optimistic resource quota utilization computation #60

To be discussed:

Visualize an error status if the utilization of a quota couldn't be determined
Add a setting to give the option to calculate resource quota on-time at host creation still
