Hi Bishesh dai
I have updated my profile into scholar profile list. If you want, I can also update the list for other Nepali researchers in my circle.
Regards
Sumit

@bamsumit Thanks Sumit, but you have updated the gh-pages branch which is actually produced by "Nikola" (the static site builder that I am using). The source of the website is actually in master branch, and the file that you need to edit is: pages/Nepali-scholars.org
This is the master branch, please use this branch to edit documents.
Sorry it's my fault that I have not put in the proper readme; I've been a bit overwhelmed with work right now, so did not have time to properly document this part. If you can successfully follow the steps outlined below, please update the README in the master branch too and make a pull request.
The basic idea is:

  1. Fork the repo, clone the master branch into your local computer.
  2. Install nikola.
  3. In the master repository do nikola build and then check in you browser (nikola serve) if the website is rendered correctly.
  4. Now, if you can render locally the website, change the files in pages/ folder of the repo.
  5. Once the modifications are done, build the website again and serve it locally.
  6. If the website looks fine with the modifications you wanted, make a pull request for this updated master branch after a commit.

If you have any questions regarding this, please ask me. Once you are successful doing this we can update the README of the master branch.

Hi @bishesh dai,
I was a bit busy lately. I tried to install nikola this weekend, but the instructions for installing it in windows. The instructions seemed confusing to me. It seems they do not have complete support in windows. Do you have any experience using it in windows? Otherwise I will check that in linux system at my office.
Regards
Sumit

@bamsumit , I have not used it in windows, sorry. But I thought it should have been quite straightforward if you have python and pip installed in windows. The installation is just doing pip install Nikola.
Can you check the installation instructions given at the end here ?
If this does not work, please create an issue in their github repo.
We need to get it working in windows because many other people might not be using linux; I do not have windows in my machine to test it.

@bamsumit I do not have windows in my computer. I do not know if anyone else has tried on windows.
@raunakms Raunak, were you using windows or other OS to build this webiste with Nikola ?

@bishesh I used GitHub Desktop (on Windows OS) to update on the site. I directly edited the respective pages on github. No, I did not use Nikola.
