1. Accessing the Preferences (Settings) Menu

You can simply open the settings menu by doing CTRL + ALT + S (Mac: ⌘ + ⌥ + S), it can be configured under Advanced in the preferences menu.

2. How to Find the Log File

The location of your main.log file varies depending on your operating system.

  • For Windows-based operating systems, the log file can be found at %APPDATA%/Apple Music/logs/main.log
  • For Linux users the log file can be found at .config/Apple Music/logs/main.log or .cache/AppleMusic/logs/main.log (v2.5.0 and higher).
  • For macOS the log file can be found at Library/Application Support/Apple Music/logs/main.log or ~/Library/Caches/AppleMusic/logs/main.log (v2.5.0 and higher).

3. How to Find the Application Data Directory

The location of your application data varies depending on your operating system.

  • For Windows-based operating systems, the path is %APPDATA%/Apple Music/
  • For Linux users, the AppData can be found in .config/Apple Music/ or .cache/AppleMusic/ (v2.5.0 and higher).
  • For macOS the path is Library/Application Support/Apple Music/ or ~/Library/Caches/AppleMusic/ (v2.5.0 and higher).

4. MPRIS Integration Information

For those who are using Linux and intend on using a script to display song information, you can utilise the Apple Music Electron MPRIS integration with the org.mpris.MediaPlayer2.AppleMusic or AppleMusic identifier. If you wish to find out more about MPRIS, visit the arch wiki page.

5. Why is my Discord RPC status not appearing?

Firstly, check to make sure Game Activity is turned on in the Discord settings, in the Activity status category.

Snap Store IssuesIf you are using Discord from the Snap Store, you are advised to install from a different source (Discords Website or using another package manager). The Snap Store version of Discord is known to have issues with DiscordRPC.
Permissions

Ensure that you are running Discord on a level that is below Apple Music Electron. If Discord is being elevated, Apple Music Electron will be unable to connect.

6. Why is the transparency effect not working? (Acrylic/Blur - Electron-Acrylic-Window)

Try all the following:

Reset Nvidia Settings

If you go into your Nvidia Control Panel and reset any changes that have been made to the 3D settings, this has been known to fix issues with transparency.
