Now that incomplete downloads can be properly resumed, the code should be cleaned up because much of it was hacked together very quickly while I was sleep-deprived.

What's the status on the refactor branch?

I keep getting distracted with other things so it has been languishing for a while. I think I'll try to get it ready to go in the next few weeks (no promises though lol).
