We have received a great deal of feedback from users who abandon Woo Express because "there are too many options", "it's too complicated", or get disoriented trying to "find how/where to start".
The Settings submenu and IA:
is publishing-oriented,
exposes many features unlikely to activate merchants (more likely to drive them away),
does not facilitate the discovery of important Woo settings areas (Shipping, Payments, etc).
The goal of this project is to streamline the Settings submenu and clean up the WP(.com) settings screens, defaulting to a WP Admin based experience that exposes only the essentials for new merchants.
