This is probably still an issue, although I haven't checked recently. It also might be solved when I upgrade my version of rq or start using Flask-RQ2 (#1 and #2 ). It would be super useful if I can get this working.

I've already done some work on this back on routes-1846-web: Auzzy/1846-routes-web@7d1aa91

I don't think it worked, but it may be a useful reference point.
