Deploying Metrics - Segment issue

When using metric alerts.
I am deploying three alerts for Metrics however i am getting this error:

i have highlighted the one that is the issue: Data Disk Write Operations/Sec

A nested resource type must have identical number of segments as its resource name. A root resource type must have segment length one greater than its resource name

Can anyone help me please?

ARM uses the / character as a delimiter in resource identifiers. For example, a secret in a Key Vault would have a resource ID like /subscriptions/<subscription ID>/resourceGroups/<resource group name>/providers/Microsoft.KeyVault/vaults/<vault name>/secrets/<secret name>. Because / marks off sections of a resource ID, you can't use it in a resource name.

Right, the name of any resource cannot have a / character. Names need to be valid path segments per https://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc3986#section-3.3. One thing you could try is replacing / with %2F (a URL-encoded /), but it'd be up to the resource provider to decode that in their control plane API.

You could try the metricName: 'Data Disk Write Operations\/Sec' but I am not sure if this works though.

I did a search on GitHub using the 'Data Disk Write Operations/Sec' snippet and got multiple Bicep templates that do the same, the only difference is that these templates use the name property besides metricName.

Maybe you can give that a try?
