Downloading Heresy on Battlescribe

EDIT 2024: We recommend you switch from battlescribe to New Recruit:
www.newrecruit.eu/ - NStephenh

EDIT: This was previously the post about HH V1. But now also V2 lives here as well. Same guide still works.

Big old edit here. Originally this post was because appspot failed us. However now it's not true, but the new way is still better.

Good news. It looks like the great Amis92 from the Battlescribe community is a awesome person and had already been working on a different way to get it to work.
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Even better than that. It means every release goes live within a couple of hours of release (rather than sometimes a couple of days)

So here is a step by step how to do it in picys. (on *iOS it's a little different, so instead of pick 4-5 you will need to see pic 8)

Pic 1) Go into manage data.

Pic 2&3) Remove the heresy one you currently have in you.

Pic 4*) Press the + at the bottom to add a new repository.

Pic 5*) Press the + at the top to add a new source for repositories and add
https://github.com/BSData/gallery/releases/latest/download/bsdata.catpkg-gallery.json

Pic 6*) Select the Horus Heresy data from the new BS Data tab at the top then scrolling down (don't worry that is says it was last updated in May)

Pic 7) Refresh the data and it should update to latest version (currently v15.0.0 at time of posting.
To make sure its right currently the Legiones Astartes version should be v632 (found when you go to select which army you want to play with).

iOS users ONLY will need to follow Pic 8 add https://github.com/BSData/horus-heresy/releases/latest/download/horus-heresy.latest.bsi to the url thing as shown.

Please also spread the word to groups you know, as otherwise people who don't read the places I have posted won't realize there has had to be a change and won't get updates

BIG thanks for Olivia Marie Valmin on C&H for working this one out with me and some of the BS data team like Amis and Mad-Spy

Select at the top "BSData", then scroll down then click the files as required to download.
Remember to untick all the ones you don't want, including the ones listed under the top tab for "Battlescribe Data".

They will not. Both files live in the repo but they are different data sources.

Ahh looks like I'd deleted the post a couple of months ago.
