Backfeed is exactly what is needed for an integration project that Im working on, what is its level of completeness? I signed up for the magazine, but the raw space on backfeed.cc has no discernible upvote mechanism.
Can Backfeed be used, with proper integration, as it exists? If it cannot, what is still left to be done or what are the technical roadblocks as yet unsolved?

Hi Kryptohaus,
As you may have noticed backfeed (and the magazine) is sort of dormant at
this point. There is a continuation project called "daostack"
https://github.com/daostack/,
That said, there's a python implementation of the backfeed protocol that is
used in the magazine: https://github.com/Backfeed/backfeed-protocol
Regarding your question: is this code ready for integration in an existing
site? Well, yes and no. It's working and integrated as such in teh
magazine. But: (1) it is not really optimized to scale, I don't know what
will happen if you have lots of users and (2) the protocol is very much
parametrized (parameters determining how much reputation you earn/loose
when voting and hwo fast and to whom), and we have no real data on which
version fo the protocol works best.
So, what are you thinking of using it for?
I added Matan Field in cc; he is the real expert/inventor of the idea, and
may have something to add,
best,
Jelle

Can Backfeed be used, with proper integration, on a social/forum site as
it exists? If it cannot, what is still left to be done or what are the
technical roadblocks as yet unsolved?
