a screenbuilder containing just a list will not update past its loadingMessage

respondScreen("looking up playlists") {
    list(playlists) {
        properties(Controlled)

        renderIndexed("playlists") { index,  item ->
            "$index: ${item.name} [${item.songs.size}]"
        }
    }
}
