Add total grain weight and strike water to recipe

One thing that would be be nice is to have the total grain bill weight as well as the recommended initial strike water of 3.7 L/kg displayed on the recipe so that it can be part of the brewday.

Those should be relatively easy to add.

I'm currently wading through various fixes/enhancements for how the "trees" on the left-hand side work, but once that's done, I can take a look at this.

Digging a bit more, it looks like the calculation portion "should" work in the recipe if you click "Mash wiz". That seems to calculate the proper strike and sparge water amounts.

The awkward part is if I try to make a generic mash (say single step) that is just a conversion + sparge, then clicking mash wiz will globally change the values for any recipe using that mash name. It would be nice to create a mashing template and just have the recipe update the numbers as required.

One of those cases where having it cloned to the recipe might make more sense than pulling from the global table. :)

Good point. Ideally the UI should offer a choice along the lines of "This mash is used by multiple recipes. Do you want to modify for all recipes or make a copy for this one?" It would be very easy in the code to do that logic. Just need to come up with something that's reasonably intuitive in the UI.

I'd agree with that logic! The totals on grain bill and hop content would be handy though. Just to allow sanity checking before/during the mash.
