Hi @fstinner! The idea of modeling functional blocks with Brick is still valid, but we are working on similar ideas in two different communities.

• One is BACnet Semantic Interoperability Working Group (SI-WG) where we try to model abstraction of groups entities (with Brick and other models) among other topics. It's open to the public.
• The other place is a project with LBNL where we are trying to associate control logic in Modelica and other LBNL tools with Brick. It's still under development and will be ready for review once it's published.

We will revisit what we have to directly introduce among the project directly into Brick (or add new concepts) later. Until then, I'd be happy to learn your use cases and consider them in planning future Brick features.
