6/16:
This week I worked on the frontend development by adding buttons to choose whether an image was real or fake.
I also added a textbox for the user to type out what appears fake about the image
when they don't know how to annotate the image. After that, I decided to start working on the dataset import.
I realized that the data needs to be in csv format, but most people will bring a collection of images.
Since then I have been trying to add a function to the script that creates a csv from the collection of images if
no csv is found. Bringing your own dataset seems a lot more challenging than I thought it would be, and I'm
trying to make this more simple for the user. Ideally I would like to have data upload via the website
so that the user doesn't have to deal with anything but this could be less practical as expected.
6/23:
This week, I searched for a dataset of iris images that includes a metadata.csv file.
I'm currently trying to generalize this because I know not every dataset will have a csv for
metadata. Because of this, I added a function to generate a default metadata.csv file when it's missing.
To extract metadata from the images to put into the csv, I plan to use the Pillow library to access
the embedded EXIF data. This will ensure that even if a metadata.csv file is unavailable,
I can still extract necessary metadata directly from the images.
