Carnegie Hall Linked Open Data - Properties

OVERVIEW

Below are properties used in the Carnegie Hall (CH) data set. The table also includes the vocabulary from which the property is sourced and a brief usage note per property.

Schema.org name Relates the URI of an entity (e.g. composer, performer, conductor) to a human-readable version of their name (text string)
Schema.org hasOccupation Relates the URI of an entity to the URI of his/her/its role (e.g. conductor, dancer, orchestra, string quartet)
GND (German National Library) Ontology playedInstrument Relates the URI of an entity to the URI of his/her instrument
Schema.org organizer Relates the URI of an event to the URI of the person or organization responsible for presenting the event
Schema.org birthPlace Relates the URI of an entity (e.g. composer, performer, conductor) to the GeoNames URI for the birth place
Schema.org birthDate Relates the URI of an entity (e.g. composer, performer, conductor) to a date of birth
Schema.org deathDate Relates the URI of an entity (e.g. composer, performer, conductor) to a date of death
Schema.org containsPlace Relates the URI for Carnegie Hall (the building) to its constituent venues
Schema.org containedInPlace Relates the URIs of Carnegie Hall venues to their parent venue (the Carnegie Hall building; inverse of containsPlace
Schema.org description Relates the URI for an event to a string describing the event type
DCMI Metadata Terms (dcterms) creator Relates the URI of a creative work to the URI of its creator (e.g. composer, playwright, etc.)

Music Ontology genre Relates the URI of an event to the URI of the CH genre identifier/s that best describe the genre of the event
SKOS Simple Knowledge Organization System exactMatch Relates the URI of an entity or work to the URI of an equivalent entity in another namespace, e.g. dbpedia
RDF Schema Vocabulary (RDFS) label Relates the URI of an event, venue, place, non-human entity, or work to a human-readable name (text string)
RDF Schema Vocabulary comment Relates the URI of a venue to its description
GeoNames Ontology historicalName Relates the URI for a venue to a human-readable name (text string) by which it was previously known (e.g. Weill Recital Hall --> Carnegie Recital Hall)
WGS84 Geo Positioning long Relates the URI of a birth place to the longitude coordinate
WGS84 Geo Positioning lat Relates the URI of a birth place to the latiitude coordinate
