Endless syncing with Nextcloud #147
Comments
Try deleting the server login on your phone, clearing the cache of the carnet app and re-entering the login details. |
I logged out and back in again. The "syncing..." notification eventually disappeared, so that is good. I also tried deleting the app data, but the "The NextCloud app is needed to use this option. Proceed to install?" still pops up when I try to login. Manually entering the server URL works, but the automatic connection doesn't. |
I have the same problem. Syncing with my nextcloud is not longer possible. I can manually connect to my nextcloud but changing the directory always leads to an app-crash. Fairphone 4 / Android 12 |
Same for me, it's also a Fairphone 4 with Android 12. |
Going back to the previous version of Carnet from F-Droid works for me. |
Unfortunately this is not an option for me as Android permits switching back to an older version |
I've got a fix for this but waiting for this error to get fixed on nextcloud side, I might give a hand if I have some free time |
I have had the same issue here. Pixle 7a Android 14. I do not know the way the code is programed as I am not a programer but I am wondering if something in the newer versions of Android are restricting permisions of apps between folders. I have 2FA so using the URL is not an option. I would love it if this would start working again. |
I am guessing, but maybe your problem is related to this new issue in the nextcloud android app? |
First of all, thank you for this wonderful app. I have used it without any problems for years.
For two weeks, the syncing icon keeps spinning in the app, and a persistent "syncing..." notification is visible. I sync to my own Nextcloud instance. I used the NextCloud Android app to set up the connection.
Today, I tried to fix this by logging out and back in. Carnet asks the question, "The NextClud app is needed to use this option. Proceed to install?" but the NextCloud app is installed when I open the Google Play Store.
Is it possible the update of 14 August 2023 broke the NextCloud integration?
