Option for remote updates using a/b partition-like function

Is it possible to allow for remote updates by creating a backup sunshine installation while updating? So if something happens with updating the secondary installation we can revert to using a primary installation, something like the A/B (seamless) system updates feature in android. This will ensure that at least one sunshine instance is running at anytime. Sorry if this wont work as I'm not an experienced programmer, but thank you so much for your work nonetheless!!
