I really don't need that much in a code editor.
eg. cot editor is nice for my user case, but after watching CodeEdit screenshots... I now NEED this
so what i'm asking is if it's possible to make a slim version of this, stripped down of most of the features.
And before you think "keep using cot editor"... I actually really love CodeEdit's UI.
I'm sure that something like this would help me keep focus on my projects.
Hope you guys understand my needs, I'm sure I'm not the only one, and something like this deserves to be used by us old macos users too
Alternatives Considered
If there's an older version I can take, I'd be happy to fork that and personally maintain a slim version of CodeEdit.
Additional Context
I'm on an "old" macbook air and I'm used to not update old devices.
They're not alone, but old Apple device are known to become slower if you update the OS.
At least I'm pretty sure that would happen on my 2020 i3 macbook air :/

I'm so happy to hear you're excited about the project! I wish we could support macOS 12, but unfortunately we can't. We'll be supporting n-3 versions going forward, but we decided to remove macOS 12 support due to some SwiftUI APIs that were absolutely needed to make CodeEdit work.
I'm very sorry. If it were an issue of speed or size that would be a different matter, but we did not make that decision lightly. The APIs we needed are essential to making the app run.
