As the title suggests, this issue contains important todos and notes as comments below. I suggest to mark all completed targets with the 🎉 flag which can be obtained by :tada: .

Also, note that

  • Each target is to represented by a single comment
  • Comments which suggest improvements for other targets need to mention which comment you are referring to.
  • All other discussions are to done preferably on the slack channel/ FB group.

  • Logistics for intro seminar will be pretty minimal. AV cell might charge ~300 INR for 2 mics. And the cost of each poster would be 10 INR.
  • Wing publi would be amazing if we can get it done. First years usually attend most calls for Wing publi (and it helps a lot), so try to utilise this. Wing publi is a 2-hour job, so it's not too hard.
  • At best, we might see a turn up of 400 people. So I'd recommend Vikramshila instead of Kalidas or Netaji. Vikramshila is more personal and would feel less empty.
  • Quest printers is the place to get posters printed. The shop in Prem Bazar is open till the evenings and the one behind Tech market (next to Radhakanta sweets) opens late at night, after 8-9 PM. The dada's personal contact numbers are 9933027710 and 9933079866. Call him and he will let you know which shop to visit. Take PSD files as well because sometimes the borders aren't accommodated for in the original design.
  • Since the intro seminar only targets first year, we need to target only 3-4 halls. So about 10-15 posters are enough.
  • Talk to Kshitij Saraogi (MA '19) for information about signatures. He is in touch with a professor from Mechanical department who might be able to help.
  • IF we need yellow lights in Kalidas, must talk to the AV cell dada about this too from before. The dada who controls lights is different. Might charge extra for this.
  • No extra cash for non-KGP societies
  • Try to get room booking done as soon as possible. Bookings for the first one month is done very soon (as early as first day of college reopening).
  • Make PPTs

Let everyone manage online publicity as sharing in groups is not much of a work. I think everyone can manage it and it will be more effective. Though, I don't see the point of online publicity, considering it has just been the start of semester when students would hardly be part of any group.

Well, if there is a professor to sign in the required places, I think I can take care of that

I'll help with the presentation making. Everyone can add in their valuable inputs.
