Hello! my pursuit of nostalgia was cut short by VARIOUS shortcomings in the last two hours. from trying out two different patches, no cd cracks and fixes and compatibility settings, i always encounter something odd.
I downloaded the SilentPatch build 2, compatibility mode on Win98/ME. the game boots up, plays the videos. i can create the character but upon trying to enter the game, it crashes with this message:
(Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library)
Runtime Error!
Program D:\Games\godfather.exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.
So i'm just stumped because i have no idea what could be the issue. No matter where i look, I don't see anyone having this issue.

(After doing a fresh install of the silent patch, I've been able to boot into the game now. however every shadow is messed up now. What gives? also the game is running faster than the audio and in gameplay it's way sped up)
