Hey @Jeehut and @MaxDesiatov, Swift got more exciting -- especially since Swift support for Windows got announced. Are you guys on a discord/slack server where we can talk and exchange ideas (or Twitter? ;))? |
Stay safe and I hope that the surgery goes well! 🙏 I'm @MaxDesiatov on Twitter, and I'm also available on the |
@Cosmo Thank you for the update. I hope things go well, get well quickly after the surgery. And sure, I could join any Slack/Discord server to discuss things, you can find me as @Jeehut on Twitter to invite me to one, or should we use the SwiftPM Slack? I think it might even be worth it to create our own as this will probably become a big project if it's tackled seriously. Having that said, I'm probably going to be more on the user side of this as I'm working on other time consuming projects in my free time and only have 1-2 hours per week for Open Source, at least for the time being. @MaxDesiatov Thank you for the link to Tokamak, gonna follow that closely, too. |
It's sad to see that there is no progress on this project. After encountering a lot of bugs in SwiftUI, I am also interested in the open source implementation of SwiftUI. Inspired by this project, I created a new OpenSwiftUI project - https://github.com/Kyle-Ye/OpenSwiftUI. If someone in this thread still interested in the area, you may also give this a look. |
I know how time consuming open source projects can be and this project is not a small one by any means. But I've seen some PRs open and several issues reported that this doesn't even compile. Also there's no new commits since >10 months. So my simple question is: Is there still work going on related to this projects somewhere from the initial maintainers? If yes, where can we follow the progress? If no, is any further work planned here? @Cosmo
