may be a good idea to have a step that checks disk usage on the source and destination server before setting tarroot to /home
it could output and say something like, /home is showing x percent free, here is the output of du, which dir would you like to use at tarroot?

I think we should do this as a option flag, or perhaps at least have an option flag to skip this (for automation purposes).
