Short description:

We tried optimizing the ingredients positions index in 8f53b7e.
However, it caused performance issues in other places (CyclopsMC/IntegratedTerminals#134), so we reverted the change.

It may still be valuable to investigate this optimization, if the downsides can be mitigated.
