Pst_Backup

Automatically backup your PST files at closing

Project Description

This project aims to create an add-in that integrates with Outlook 2010, 2013 and 2016 to automatically save PST files (Replaces Microsoft PfBackup).

It should be easy to: Deploy (WSUS or GPO).

  • Update (WSUS or GPO).
  • Set / Manage (GPO or registry).
  • In addition, it should be transparent to users and make life easier for administrators.

Features : 

  • Backup to a shared folder on a file server or a NAS 
  • Support personnalizing NTFS permissions on the remote folder (When the folder is created the first time) 
  • Support for Full or Differential backup 
  • Clients can be deployed through MSI 
  • Clients behaviors can be managed by GPO 
  • Available languages : English, Français 
  • Clients can report to a Pst_Backup Server 
  • Pst_Backup can display graphical report (to be done) 
  • Send periodic email alerts to admin to notify on users that don't backup their PST files (to be done) 
  • Etc…

Ce projet a pour but de créer un complément qui s'intègre à Outlook 2013 et qui permet de sauvegarder automatiquement les fichiers PST (Remplace Microsoft PfBackup). Il devra être facile à:

  • Déployer (par Wsus ou GPO).
  • Mettre à jour (par Wsus ou GPO).
  • Paramétrer/Gérer (GPO ou registre).
  • De plus, il devra être transparent pour les utilisateurs et simplifier la vie des administrateurs.
