Code of Conduct

Our Commitment

In the interest of fostering an open and welcoming environment, we, as contributors and maintainers of Dev-Blogs, pledge to make participation in our project and community a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, body size, disability, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, level of experience, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, sexual identity and orientation, or any other personal characteristics.

We are committed to ensuring a welcoming and inclusive environment for all participants, and we expect contributors to uphold these values.

Standards for Contributors

To promote a positive environment, all contributors are expected to:

1. Be Respectful

  • Treat every individual with respect, professionalism, and kindness.
  • Address differences in an open and constructive manner.
  • Respect that others may have a different perspective.

2. Be Inclusive

  • Strive to include others and provide help when needed.
  • Welcome contributions and ideas from all members, regardless of their experience level or background.
  • Avoid language or behavior that could be exclusionary or discriminatory.

3. Be Considerate

  • Consider the effect your actions may have on others.
  • If in doubt about how your words or actions may be perceived, err on the side of caution and respect.
  • Be thoughtful in how you communicate and collaborate, particularly in remote, written communication like pull requests and issue discussions.

4. Be Collaborative

  • Foster an environment of learning and growth through open discussions.
  • Acknowledge the contributions of others and give proper credit.
  • Accept constructive criticism and feedback with an open mind.

5. Be Transparent

  • Communicate clearly and in a timely manner, especially regarding project issues and decisions.
  • Be honest and admit when you don’t know something or when you’ve made a mistake.
  • Seek to resolve conflicts through peaceful and constructive dialogue.

Unacceptable Behavior

Examples of behavior that will not be tolerated include:

  • Harassment of any kind, including sexualized language or imagery, unwelcome sexual attention, or personal attacks.
  • Discrimination based on gender, race, ethnicity, religion, or other characteristics.
  • Trolling or posting inflammatory, irrelevant, or off-topic comments to disrupt discussion.
  • Threats or encouragement of violence or harm toward any individual or group.
  • Spamming or repeated promotion of services, tools, or products that are unrelated to the project.
  • Disrespecting boundaries when someone asks for a discussion or interaction to stop.

Reporting Violations

If you witness or are subject to any unacceptable behavior, or have any other concerns, please contact us immediately at [[email protected]].

We will handle the issue as confidentially as possible. All reports will be reviewed and investigated, and a response will be given promptly. In severe cases, violators may be removed from the project and barred from future participation.

Consequences of Unacceptable Behavior

Unacceptable behavior from any contributor will result in the following steps:

  1. Warning: A private, written warning explaining the behavior and why it is inappropriate.
  2. Temporary Ban: In the case of repeat offenses or serious misconduct, temporary removal from the project’s online platforms, including GitHub discussions, issues, and pull requests.
  3. Permanent Ban: For extreme or repeated cases, a permanent ban from all project participation.

Acknowledgments

This Code of Conduct is based on the Contributor Covenant, version 2.0. It is intended to provide a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all contributors.

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies both within project spaces (e.g., GitHub issues, pull requests, or project-related discussion forums) as well as in external spaces when an individual is representing the project or community.

Examples of representing the project or community include using an official project email address, posting via an official social media account, or acting as an appointed representative at an online or offline event.
