Optifine is broken with the 1.0.4 snapshot version that voxelmap linked to, it makes glass textures just solid red, adds lighting issues around the edges of blocks where two blocks meet, makes the water and lava animation stop, and reverts water to its vanilla texture (even though I had shaders) and all of this happens whether or not shaders is even enabled. A previous post here by Gbergz has screenshots of what it looks like. He assumed it was the shaders causing the issue but I determined it was just the entirety of Optifine.

If these problems WERE fixed I can't tell because I can't install Rift 1.0.2 for some reason, it says it installs but it doesn't change any of my minecraft files so it's a complete and total dud. 1.0.4 just crashes my game if I have any mods installed (it will launch if no mods are installed which defeats the purpose obviously) And i've tried everything with fresh .minecraft folders. I deleted and reinstalled .minecraft multiple times in case of any conflicts, so i'm very sure of my results.

I was going to do additional testing with 1.0.0 but now it's behaving the same as 1.0.2, this is very inconsistent.

Kinda broken API, guess i'll just have to wait until Forge drops. Hope you find some use in my list of issues though.

Fluid shader and connected textures issues have both been fixed. Lighting bugs I've not seen, would need an explicit example to look further.
