One thing that's weird about the workaround is that it checks for "192.168.10.249, lease time 12h" in the syslog, while, on boxes without issues we only see the following IP range in syslog
DHCP, IP range 192.168.5.100 -- 192.168.5.249, lease time 12h

One of our boxes had a lot of the following errors in it's syslog.
We did once add a workaround:
