There are currently a bunch of things in motion around TiTiler for multidimensional datasets - Xarray support is now integrated in TiTiler and the development needed to leverage that will become more streamlined, like here:

• use factory from titiler.xarray developmentseed/titiler-xarray#72

We should be soon in a good position to deploy a lightweight runtime that supports multidimensional datasets using or copying from TiTiler-Xarray.
