For now, we use freeRTOS, however it is not ideal.

Most of the code, in the future, should be able to run on the CA7 main processor in linux.

The coprocessor code, should run in chibiOS rather than freeRTOS as it has a significantly lower overhead. (and is much more elegant IMHO)
