Dealing with legacy pages from www.earthsystemcog.org

Hi @LucaCinquini , thanks for adding me to this repo.

I'm trying to help Ceclia deal with issues around the shutdown of the current www.earthsystemcog.org service run by University of Colorado. My plan is to use a github pages site to set up provisional pages and/or redirect people to new project pages.

Rather than start a new github organisation, this could be done with a ttps://github.com/EarthSystemCoG/EarthSystemCoG.github.io repository (it needs to be precisely that repository name in order to have be able to put files in the root directory of the web site that is created by github pages).

Can you create a repo for me, or give me permission to create one? Or should I put this web site in another githib organisation?
