Is there an existing issue for this?

  • I have searched the existing issues

Current Behavior

Names like Raúl are being encoded as Ra\u00fal in the manifest.json file during serialization.

Expected Behavior

Instead, no encoding should occur, if UTF-8 goes in, UTF-8 should come back out
