I tried to get this version of WhatsApp Extractor working but it did not. However, I found another one that is working and want to make sure people finding this are aware:

This Works: https://github.com/B16f00t/whapa

I think it would be awesome to mention this fork in the README.md sometime in the future and mark this project stale / deprecated.

Thanks and have an amazing day ❤.

I saw this one today, as I was finishing fixing mine too. Mine is working as well too now.

Thanks for that Yuri,
in the new version, for some reason when i Sync it doesnt sync any images or videos, only wallpapers and some animated gifs.

any idea why?

I'll get a look today but last time I tested it was working normally.

Souns like there are two working solutions then, but this repo is one of the oldest and ideally should still get the Stale/Deprecated notice in the README.md file.

Working alternatives include these two at the moment:

B16f00t's repo is working right now, at least it's 'whagodri' script. mine for some odd reason is not downloading sent Images. I'm gonna decipher from his code what is going on but I think in the end I'll just copy it and modify to work with my repo method.
For now if you want to use B16f00t's just copy the 'cfg' folder to the 'lib' one, open a command prompt on 'lib' folder and use it like:
python whagodri.py -s -o Whatsapp//

OMG! That's a step forward, thanks Yuri! But yeah, I can confirm it doesn't download sent Images, it got like 10% of them then it stopped, I use this tool to speed up my work and the sent images is the thing I need the most, unlucky me :(
Will look forward for your update then! Can't wait! Thanks for your work.

hey there, I think I found a solution, already sent a pull request to @YuriCosta - his multithreaded version is my favourite one :-)

I used the tool without problems for months, today I got this

SystemExit: issueAdvice=auto
Expiry=1585623190
ExpiresInDurationSec=2082
storeConsentRemotely=1
isTokenSnowballed=1
grantedScopes=https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.appdata https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file

What does it mean? Is it fixable? @YuriCosta @pianojockl
Thanks.
