@jamin-hall indicated that it should be the way it is in normal Fuel UX instead:
(color in Fuel UX proper is #0f5f9f, but there is no design token for that color.)
@jamin-hall should a design token be added? Or would you like something else to be done here to indicate selection? Perhaps @color-background-inverse would be an appropriate alternative:

Hi folks, I’m the vis designer from DesignMap. I would assume this should be following the color patterns for a dropdown and combo box. Is there a reason it doesn’t?
