I have confirmed that I'm running the current version and the problem persists there (note the version number in fine print next to the add-on name on addons.thunderbird.net and compare it to the version number listed in the add-on details opened from the Add-ons page in Thunderbird; if you've got an old version, click the gear icon and select "Check for Updates").
If I'm having an issue with date-parsing confusion, I've read the section about that in the user guide and I still think this is something different.
When the option 'Send delays messages by xx minutes' is activated, every message is send as delayed, even from deactivated accounts. So deactivated accounts are activated after sending a message.
How to reproduce
Activate 'Send delays messages by xx minutes'
Deactivate one Account
Send a message from this account
Account is activated again
Expected behavior
SendLater ignores deactivated accounts when using the normal 'Send' button
Additional context
No response
Operating System
No response
Operating System Version
No response
Thunderbird version
128.2.3
Send Later start-up string
No response

While I understand that you would like the extension to behave differently, there are other users who expect the current behavior. Neither is correct or incorrect; they're just different.
I will need to put some thought into whether I can support both behaviors and if so what exactly that would look like and how I can implement it without causing an unexpected (and perhaps not noticed until too late) change in behavior for current users.
But deactivating accounts is useless if this option is used, because you can not send emails by using the normal button. I can not imagine that someone would expect this behaviour. I am talking only about the normal tb send button, not the send later button.
Your lack of imagination is not a deciding factor in whether I change the extension to suit your particular needs at the expense of others', and I do not have time to explain to you what you are missing.
You can go ahead and keep being combative about this if the outcome you would like is for me to close this issue and never implement a solution to the problem you're having.
I apologize if my previous messages came across as combative - that was not my intention. My aim was to clarify my concerns because I believe there is a contradiction in the logic of the options that cancel each other out. I appreciate your efforts and time, and I'm just looking to find the best solution for everyone involved
