pkl has some interesting features that would make it great for this project (if it were to support python):

  • templates: generate defaults for stages, maybe even per operator → great for navigating
  • for loops: great way to include many files defining data sets
  • validation of inputs in general
  • ability to generate yaml from multiple sources (pkl eval -f yaml <config>) (for reproducibility)
