Games that are exactly 2MB crash after being downloaded.

Same with me. Files several KB larger than 2MB do work though.

you have to point me to the files you are trying, I have no clue what could be wrong, are you sure the files you are testing are actually made to be sent?

i am using some old NDS demo roms, all of them work in desmume
the roms that are exactly 2mb crash after send, roms larger or smaller work perfectly

Actually, I think you should alter what file sizes they take.
If anything, try changing the size capacity to 150MB.

And make it accept official retail roms, like Super Mario 64 DS, or any modded DS ROMS.

If that doesn work, then try changing the NDS RAM Capacity.

How would I change my DS's ram capacity? That's virtually impossible without very specific and tedious hardware modifications. Also, the DS can only hold about 16mb in its RAM. 150 is ridiculously large. Retail roms are too big.
