PIMD: Protocol Not Available when starting the PIMD

Hey Everyone,

I'm using v6.0.3 in frr because of the low space on my device. Here are the machine specifications,

Architecture: ARM
Operating System/Build System: Openwrt 14
Kernel-Version: 3.14.77

When I launch pimd, I encounter some errors.

2022/12/20 09:14:15 warnings: PIM: Failure to register for VIFWHOLE and WRONGVIF upcalls 92 Protocol not available
2022/12/20 09:14:15 warnings: PIM: Could not enable mroute on socket fd=7: errno=92: Protocol not available

pimd starts fine, but
Similar kind of error i encounter when i try "ip igmp" command on any interface.

OpenWrt(config-if)# ip igmp 
2023/03/09 22:30:58 PIM: pim_mroute_add_vif: failure: setsockopt(fd=-1,IPPROTO_IP,MRT_ADD_VIF,vif_index=10,ifaddr=20.20.20.1,flag=8): errno=9: Bad file descriptor

I'm suspecting, i need some changes in the kernel, is there any alternative because upgrading the kernel will be a very beefy task, in openwrt systems.

What is its significance of these UPCALLS? Is there any kernel documentation available?
