Installed Sims Version
The Sims 1 Complete Collection via Archive.org

Are you using a nocd exe / crack?
Yes

Describe the issue. Include screenshots if you can
Hi, there seems to be an issue with your latest version - I needed to reinstall my game and so I also needed to reinstall the widescreen patcher. I've used your latest version (v3.4.0). No matter which wrapper I chose, the result was always this one:
2023-08-02 20_58_42-The Sims Complete Collection
2023-08-02 21_25_47-Die Sims - Complete Collection
2023-08-02 21_25_34-Die Sims - Complete Collection

Which means that in the neighbourhood, the "background" screen was not centered and glitching, same with the UI in a household. No idea what caused this, I've also tried another re-install, nothing. The only thing that helped is using an older version I've used in March when first installing the game (3.2.3), now everything works fine.

What I've also noticed is that the newest version doesn't show a success message, like this one:
2023-08-02 23_47_02-Progress

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

  • (Re-)install game ("Sims Eraser" has been used before)
  • (Re-)install widescreen patch, v3.4.0. In my case I tried different combos of different resolutions and all three wrappers. I've always replaced the Sims.exe file with a clean, non-patched one (the same I'm using now)
  • Start game

Hello! That specific issue happens when the game's UI image resolution doesn't match the exe's patched resolution. I'm guessing that the exe patch works, but not the UI image sizing. If there were an issue performing that step, that would explain why you don't see the success message. Can you try 3.4.0 and upload the Sims1WidescreenPatcherLog.clef log, please?
