When using the effect start command in 8.2, the start channel is auto filled with 1. If the eseq is intended for channels other than starting at 1 then the effect will play on the wrong channels. previous to 7.5 this field would default to blank which is what it should be if intending to play on the channels defined in the eseq. Please set this field to default to blank like the previous behavior.

@OnlineDynamic Is it practical in the UI to set the default to 1 if you select a model, but set it blank if no model is selected?

The default was changed because someone logged an issue asking for it to be changed. The breakage of the old way of doing things was an unintended side effect. I don't think we should blindly change it back to fix the old way of doing things because it will break the modern way of doing things. I'm hoping we can set it based on the other fields set, but the UI framework may not allow this. Alternatively I propose we leave it as is
