Found the answer by experimenting with the app, and it turned out to be straighforward!

  1. Select Settings
  2. In the General tab, scroll down in the right pane.
  3. There is a control named Default file manager. Click on its button, which gives you some more options.
If your favorite file manager is not listed, click on the Add button.
Browse to the executable file of your favorite FM.
Set parameters as needed. Finally press Done.

Now the selected item will be opened in your chosen file manager.
