Security and data protection is extremely important to Forecast. We need to make sure we safeguard both our internal data, and in particular our customer data.
This is why we're fully compliant and adhering to the European Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA) and the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

Every Forecaster has a personal responsibility to comply with the requirements of the Data Protection Act and the Forecast Technologies Data Protection policy. It is the responsibility of every Forecaster to protect any personal data that they hold or are responsible for on behalf of the Company and to uphold the legal requirements placed on the Company for Data Protection.
Any employee who is found to have revealed or disclosed any personal data to any unauthorised person or organisation will be in breach of Company policy and will be subject to disciplinary action, which may, dependent on the nature of the disclosure be regarded as Gross Misconduct. Such disclosure may also be treated as a criminal offence.
You are entitled to access information that the Company has collected and retained on your employment record and file. This could include information regarding any grievances or disciplinary action, or information obtained through monitoring processes. Should you wish to access this information, please talk to your line manager.
All Forecasters must adhere to the following guidelines to ensure privacy and data protection is compliant:
- Always screen lock your computer before you leave it unattended, also when you just leave it just for a few minutes.
- Always enable 2 Factor Authentication (2FA) on all 3rd party services (if they support it).
- Do not share your passwords with other people, including other Forecasters.
- When sharing files, please make sure they can be seen by the intended recipient only (use puclic sharing with caution).
- Make sure that outside people in the office have offical business and a Forecast chaperone.
- If you're the last one to leave the office, make sure that the alarm and video surveillance has been activated.
