Feature description

CardBook add-on in Thunderbird and AOSP contacts app support a "department" field. These apps have three business related fields: company, department, title.

Why do you want this feature?

This field is missing in Fossify contacts and thus I miss information if I use this app.

Additional information

According to CardBook manual it is part of the "company" field separated by semicolon according to CardDAV guidelines.

Please note that while the Stock Android Contacts app exports ORG/ Dept in the following way:

ORG:Company\;Dept

Google Contacts exports this way:

ORG:Org;Dept

ie. Google contacts does not include a backslash before the semicolon. (You may want to check if Apple is consistent with either of these two.)
