Feature description

Highlight the file (e.g. with an outline) when opening it.

Why do you want this feature?

It's not uncommon to collect very many pictures and videos in the gallery over time, which may also may look similar if taken at the same spot or time for instance.

When you then open a file, e.g. a video in an external player or a picture in the app itself, and then go back to the raster or list view, you may be a bit lost to find exactly the one you just opened, to continue with the next.

If the last opened file were highlighted though, it would be directly clear.

Additional information

On the desktop, e. g. Dolphin on KDE Plasma, supports this and it's super useful.
