I would like to package ORS as a WebApp for Ubuntu Touch. In order for the site to look and work well as an app I'd prefer to add a few improvements (or have them added):
The red header should be less intrusive, ideally just a semi-transparent logo in the left upper corner.
The footer with the copyright information should be more transparent.
The hide/show button for the routing panel, currently at the right upper corner, would be more intuitive to use if it were directly attached to the panel (on top of it; when it's hidden only the button would be visible at the bottom of the screen and suggest that the panel is hidden below it)
Is there maybe a more simplified version of the Heidelberg University logo? The official one is too sophisticated, it has many details that are visible only when displayed as a large logo, it doesn't work well for small logos. The logo of the Geo institute could be better suited from a technical/user centric point of view.

We unfortunately can't change the colouring due to our university ci. We are currently working on a new angular version which will consider the hide/show button suggestion, thank you. To my knowledge there also isn't a simplified version of the logo.
It's not really about the colouring. It's mainly that the header is covering a substantial part of the UI. Especially on mobile devices this makes a difference. I believe even people that only do administration, that still prefer to work with paper, will understand - given you show them the difference on the screen.
Also, I'm sure the large "OpenRouteService" header text is not part of the University CI.
Possible alternatives for be better header
a) Make the header (very!) transparent, so that the map shines through. Acknowledged, this changes the color as it appears on the screen, but technically you stick with the CI. -- Also the transparency of the footer should be increased.
b) Only show the University logo in the left upper corner and the ℹ️ icon on the right upper corner. No header background. That makes the logo color stay the same. -- As a variant, add a nicer, just slightly noticeable "OpenRouteService" text on completely transparent background; that can even be in "CI red".
c) Leave the header opaque, but make it slide away (disappear) as soon a a user interacts with the map. I can then reappear when the map is left alone, i.e. no user interaction for a few seconds.
