Your Proposal

Marking veins as active with middle-mouse-click, which would give the a (green) border when showing all GT veins. Also, if you click the button on the top twice, show only the active ore veins.

Your Goal

When somebody currently has multiple veins that are either not fully mined or multiple veins with miners on them it would it can sometimes be difficult to find the exact vein you were working on for that resource. Also, when you might place some block there one might forget that block and not know which vein to travel to to find it again.

Your Vision

It would make it easier to find/see the veins that one is working on, where one has placed miners, or where you might have placed that block. Using waypoints is a little cumbersome, and something very similar already exists for marking veins as depleted.
