Theme Mellisa: How do I change the default post index header text? #1961
-
Hi, I set a static page as the homepage and set a prefix for the post index page following the instructions in the Publii documentation. Using the Mellisa theme, there's now a new heading text above the post index saying "Latest Updates & Insights — Discover our latest blog posts…" Where can I edit this text? Moreover, the "hero" settings for the post index page no longer apply. The hero image and text are gone. Any ideas? Thanks |

Thank you all for your help. I have also just discovered that the text in question is hardcoded and has to be translated via the language file. I would have looked there last. Because, as I said, if the post index file is the homepage, this text does not appear, but the one in the Hero settings shown by @jpbraun in the screenshot. The matter remains mysterious to me, especially as the other Hero settings also don't apply anymore. I still don't understand the logic behind this. |

The hero section only appears on the homepage. If you use the post prefix, e.g.,
/blog/,
the dedicated template (posts.hbs) handles this page, where the hero section does not appear. The header of this page (H1, description) can be translated via the translation file. That's it.
